Threadstrong Vintage

Over the past couple of weeks I've been in the process of starting a little Etsy venture. Eventually I plan to have a Vintage and Thrifted clothing store with some adorable 'one of a kind' pieces in addition to items that have been altered for a better style/fit.

To phase into the store idea I've been posting individual items online and so far I've sold almost everything I've posted within a week!

I'm planning on posting some Before's and After's of altered pieces because we all know how fun it is to see a heinous 'mumu' transform into a flirty little frock!

Check back to see the new items I'll be posting each week!

Here's a preview of another adorable vintage dress that will be up for sale on Etsy:

Oh and a special thanks to Makell Wintle who is a fabulous graphic designer. Click here for Makell's blog!

What Friends Are For

The best of friends are the ones who are willing and excited to get behind an impulsive idea. They don't mind how long it takes or sacrificing the precious hours of their weekend. A good friend is your sounding board, your voice of reason, your muse, your inspiration and most importantly, they are the best company along the way. Thank you Hannah and Caitlin for modeling for me this weekend...  I think they might have to quit their day jobs after this.

Put a fork in it

Or string it on....

So I've bought out the silverware supply at Deseret Industries (local thrift store) and am patiently waiting for the next donation that will help me finish my fixture. I admit that its a little awkward to compete for dinnerware with the random lurking old-man-type that frequents the D.I. but I've become really good at asserting myself. I think the employees there also think I'm
insane... just another weirdo with a utensil fetish.

The labor is pretty intensive and my fingers are a little sore from all the clipping and drilling but I'm determined to finish my funky little pendant.

What do you think? Would you hang this thing in your kitchen/dining area? Let me know if I'm just totally off my rocker.
